SkyGear, what's the difference?

Indeed, apart from offering what is certainly the lightest pair of glasses on the market (21g), a pair of glasses adjustable for face/skull (flexibility of screen/temples) and a customization of the look (removable screen membranes), the big difference of the SkyGear glasses is identified on the lateral coverage of the eye with a panoramic screen which protects from the most destructive UV rays, the most sensitive and most forgotten part, the tip of the eye.

SkyGear glasses were designed in collaboration with the most demanding multisport athletes on the planet: the French!

SkyGear caters to all outdoor activities, for all levels.

Not being a professional optician, I cannot create custom prescription lenses. However, I offer a clip-on optical insert as an alternative to a traditional nose bridge. This optical insert is horizontally curved to allow you to benefit from your peripheral vision, unlike a standard optical insert which is often too short.

Your optician will mount your corrective lenses onto the optical insert and you will only have to install it in place of the classic nose bridge using the fixing system.

Yes! My glasses incorporate a unique system combining two elements:

• The horizontal curvature of SkyGear screens is similar to that of a water droplet , which is the most aerodynamic shape.
• The 10 ventilation trenches around the screen allow air to infiltrate (accelerating thanks to the aerodynamic shape) inside and onto the internal surface:

Result: Air circulation on the internal surface of the screen prevents stagnant fogging and condensation from perspiration drips.

Therefore, a consistently calm and dry visual environment!

Are the glasses shock-resistant?

Yes, the TR90 (material of the branches) is extremely durable. You can:

• To knock them down (within reason)
• Fold them slightly
• bend them without breaking them
• They'll unclip at worst

However, be aware: Polycarbonate screens (which are very flexible) can scratch if not properly cared for. Always use the case provided with the pouch or a microfiber cloth.

UNIVERSAL model

• Adaptable to any face and skull shape thanks to its temples and flexible, adjustable screen.
• Originally designed for children and narrow adult faces, they fit very well on wider faces.

V-SHAPE model

• Slightly wider horizontally than the UNIVERSAL model, it has the same screen/arm flexibility characteristics.
• It all depends on how much screen coverage you want on your face. V-SHAPE for an average-sized adult face will provide more coverage.

IMAX model

• The perfect extension of the face, with the same horizontal dimensions as the V-SHAPE model but with more verticality to cover the entire eye area (eyebrows, inner corner of the eye, and top of the cheekbones). It also boasts the same flexibility as the other models. The IMAX is designed for those who demand uncompromising coverage.

You can try during competitions where we meet of course, but not remotely unfortunately.

• Preparation time: 24-48 hours
• Delivery: 2-5 days
• Total: 3-7 days on average but I always try to do it faster.

International :

• Europe: 5-10 days
• Rest of the world: 7-15 days

Is delivery really free?

Yes! Free delivery in mainland France for orders over €120.

Since a complete pair costs €60, the second one in your basket eliminates the shipping costs.

Daily cleaning:

1. Use the provided microfiber pouch or cloth.
2. Gently wipe the screen in circular motions.
3. That's all!

Deep cleaning (if necessary):

1. Feel free to put a dab of saliva in the microfiber cloth.
2. Gently rub the screen with the microfiber cloth, using circular motions until even the most stubborn stains are removed. And that's it!
3. If sand or seawater comes into contact with the screen, use and pour mineral water onto the screen to remove the micro grains of sand.
4. Check that all micro-grains are gone before using the pouch or microfiber cloth again.
5. Gently wipe the screen in circular motions. And that's it.

❌ NEVER USE:

• Abrasive products (alcohol, acetone, vinegar) or even dishwashing liquid type products.
• Paper towels, tissues (scratch the screen) or various clothes.
• Window cleaning products
• Hot water (> 60°C)
